About Acre Golf
The game of Acre Golf is a quick three-hole par-3 chipping game that can be played in non-traditional venues and requires (at a minimum) half of an acre, one green, and three elevated tee boxes.
The creators were inspired by their love of golf, chipping, and the relaxation and fellowship that occurs while practicing the short game.
Scoring in Acre Golf is a little different…
Chip in is a Rooster
Birdie is a Quail
Bogey is a Pig
Double is a Hog
If you’re even after the first two holes, you are “Loaded”, meaning that if you shoot a quail on the third hole than you can “Bust a Covey” for an extra stroke
In short, this little game creates an added level of focus so that you have a format to compete with; don’t just chip, try to shoot some quail and bust a covey!
For too long our closest friends and family have not been able to share in the joy of golf because they "don’t play” so we wanted to find a way to include them. Furthermore, seasonal and lighting limitations present challenges for those who love the game; however, due to the minimal shot distances of each hole (30-50 yards) and proper lighting, Acre Golf can be played year round and at night.
